A Night Under the Stars with ProMentality: Putt Putt Party Night at Cultus Lake Golf Club

Welcome to this special feature on my blog! As many of you may know, my usual posts revolve around real estate and community events in Chilliwack. However, this month I’m thrilled to bring you an exclusive on a very captivating event geared to engage our community and support a notable cause in mental health and wellness.

Introducing Jennifer Diot and ProMentality

Today, I’m joined by Jennifer Diot from ProMentality, an organization dedicated to enhancing mental performance and wellness through a variety of services including counseling and sports psychology. Jennifer, it's great to have you! Could you tell us a bit more about ProMentality and its mission?

Jennifer Diot: "Absolutely, Deanna. ProMentality is all about empowering individuals. We offer support through registered clinical counselors and social workers and also provide training and intern opportunities for emerging professionals in this field. Our services extend beyond traditional counseling, incorporating elements such as nutrition coaching and mental performance consultancy."

The Putt Putt Party Night: More Than Just Golf

This brings us to the exciting event you're hosting - the Putt Putt Party Night at the Cultus Lake Golf Club. It's the first event of its kind that ProMentality is organizing. What prompted this idea?

"Our goal is to make mental health support accessible while engaging the community in fun activities. We thought what better way than a mini-golf night that everybody, regardless of age, can enjoy. Plus, it's an evening event which adds a whimsical touch with night-time play."

Challenges and Inspirations Behind the Scenes

Hosting an event for the first time comes with its challenges. Jennifer, could you share some of the hurdles you faced in bringing this event to life?

"Well, coordinating everything was quite new to me personally. Balancing logistics for a golf event versus our usual fun runs demanded a different approach. But seeing how this allows more people to participate - like kids or those who prefer less strenuous activities - makes it all worthwhile."

Goals for the Evening

With no set financial target for this first event, the central aim is awareness and relationship-building. Jennifer explains:

"Our primary focus is to introduce ProMentality to a wider audience and to share the multitude of ways we give back to the community, such as through over $100,000 in pro bono counseling services each year. Of course, we hope to cover our operation costs through donations and continue our service offerings."

Why Cultus Lake Golf Club?

Choosing the Cultus Lake Golf Club was no accident. The location is prominent within the community and offers the perfect backdrop for a friendly, relaxed event.

Jennifer: "The setting is beautiful, and the staff were incredibly accommodating with our vision for a night-time event, which really sealed the deal for us.”

Remember, the event is on May 25th, starting at 6 PM and promises an enjoyable time for families, individuals, and groups looking to support a good cause while having a blast on the mini-golf course.
